Spoopy Stuff
A downloadable game
A horror/mystery narrative project packed with throwaway tropes using the MalibuDarby POP Horror assets as well as my own additions, a number of assorted plugins including Yanfly & Galv's.
It started as a bunch of moving parts that I slapped a story over top of. This serves as a prequel to my original idea, involving multiple interwoven playable episodes in an explorable semi-sandbox environment.

- Self-drawn additions to said assets
- Your own bank card with randomized starting balance
- An ATM to put stick yourbank card in
- A blackjack minigame as an incentive to use the ATM
- Randomized music tracks set the tone differently
- Lots of Easter eggs, jokes, flavour text and references
- Channel surf on your motel TV
- Timed conversation responses
- Story based exploration/puzzle horror/mystery, no combat perse as of this time

I'd like to try this game, but I can't find download button xD
I never actually uploaded it, but I guess I could do a build of what's there so people can poke around in it.
I've made it available for download! I got an error with a sound on the vending machine in the hotel lobby but I checked and the sound is there. I'll try another build later after checking that vending machine specifically. It's been forever since I touched this project and I only just saw your comment today. :O

Awesome!! I was playing it and I noticed it can't find this coin inserting sound, I dunno what I did with it but it's the same sound that was causing problems with the vending machine so I'll get that sorted out soon and update the build, but until then it's as is.
I hope you have fun, it was a good time making all the stuff involved. It's been so long I had actually forgotten about some of the stuff I included in it. 🤣🤣
Yep, I just got this sound file bug: "Failed to load: audio/se/232562__sandufi__insert-coin-drink-vending-2.ogg" in the bar.
I'll try to put a placeholder ogg in the folder, maybe it will fix it.
Edit: no, it keeps giving errors when Slent Bob uses slot machine.
I thought I updated that, I'll check again!
But yeah I think that's the last place that sound is an issue.

ok I just made a new build of the project and updated the page, I am pretty sure I've got all instances of that sound replaced now.
I'm currently sitting in the bar and the loop of the guy going to the slot machine is working ok, and I've changed all the vending machines (outside office and store) so those work.
