Updates


I've currently got the following in place.

  • dynamic day/night with on screen time display (and off/on toggle)
  • lighting
  • footstep sounds
  • blackjack minigame
  • gab message windows
  • camera zoom & panning control
  • layered weather
  • a functioning atm with a randomly generated balance
  • different atm cards
  • timed conversation responses (shown via identically timed game timer until i can figure out how to call the response time for a gauge display
  • event/player chase
  • Telephone with number input (key pad style entry would be nice)
  • Television with channel input (for hidden channels :D), "channels" are stored in maps, invalid channel entry results in static
  • Lights turned on inside are visible from the outside by a combination of dynaic light off/on, and sprite based windows rather than tileset based
  • Sokoban puzzles
  • Event stacking to achieve for example, a sewer grate covered by a pushable crate which requires a tool to open, as well as potential requirements to move the crate
  • Custom game font
  • Randomized music to prevent boredom while play testing and for atmospheric testing
  • script calls to simulate "business hours" with appropriately locking doors, flagged lights, and other graphic adjustments.
  • timed traffic lights with crosswalk light, timed independently of the day/night cycle (to prevent stupid fast/slow traffic light cycles)
